Filing Flows › Growth model

One growth model, four levels

Each company's revenue growth, each industry's, each sector's and each theme's is modelled the same way: this quarter's year-on-year growth = a constant + ρ × last quarter's + γ × its parent's growth, fitted on SEC filings with a prior taken from its peers, so a company with few quarters leans on its industry. Every fit is tested out of sample against “growth stays what it was”.
